“FOR THE ONE” DANCE
A Ceremonial Singing Dance For Peace
Note: This is not a Native American Dance
In 1996 Jeanne White Eagle was given a vision of a “singing dance,” a dance whose purpose was to awaken the memory of who we are and where we come from…a dance to bring what has been separated, back together again.
The name of the dance is “For the One.”
Since the time of it’s birth, the “For the One” Dance has traveled around the world touching and healing hearts of people from many different countries such as Germany, South Africa, United States, Ireland, Norway, England, Scotland, Croatia, Bosnia, Egypt, Brazil, Israel, and Palestine and others.
It’s purpose is to help bring back into the mass consciousness the realization that the “time of separation is over.”
Philosophy of the Dance
In a time of severe polarizations on our planet, choices are being made that have the potential of creating mass divisiveness at many levels. It is time to remember who we are… that we and all life are of a single consciousness. There is really only one “person” here.
And as each of us interacts with our world on a daily basis, we either create further separation or we remember who we are and find the grace and strength to love what is in front of us in each passing moment.
In this dance, as the drum carries the dancer to the sacred center, the dancer sings spontaneously the sounds that will take her or him to the original vibration from which all creation comes. In this space, we experience ourselves as the hollow bond through which Spirit breathes the breath of life… And it is here that we remember that there is no separation. The time of separation is over.
